Philia House and In-home support services
Philia House supports families or non relative carers of a child, young person who has special needs, by providing 24 hour residential disability respite care.
Philia House offers respite care in medium to longer stays – from one week to four weeks each year. Duration of stays depends on availability at the time a request is made, and early bookings assist in ensuring respite care can be provided when required.
Philia House is located at Mt Gravatt East, and provides respite services to families in Brisbane’s southern suburbs. This geographical focus allows for children and young people who live in the southern suburbs to continue to attend their usual school or day activities when they stay at the house.
Philia House is funded by Disability Services, Department of Communities.
Quality of care at Philia House
